Sabura
Terms of Service
The rules for Sabura accounts, classroom tools, AI features, shared boards, analytics, and paid subscriptions.
Effective and last updated: 23 August 2026. These Terms govern your use of sabura.app, the Teacher Dashboard, classroom tools, accounts, AI features, sharing features, and paid plans. By using Sabura, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you use Sabura for a school or organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind it.
1. The service
Sabura provides classroom organisation and presentation tools, including timers, student selection, groups, scoreboards, voting, random tools, saved dashboards, shared boards, and an AI Teacher Assistant. Features may work locally in your browser or, when you choose online functionality, through our cloud services. Sabura is an educational aid and does not replace teacher judgment, safeguarding duties, accessibility planning, assessment, or professional decision-making.
2. Eligibility and school authority
Accounts are intended for teachers, school staff, and other authorised adults. You must be legally able to accept these Terms. Children must not create independent accounts or provide personal data without the authorisation and supervision required by their school, parent or guardian, and applicable law. If you enter student data, you confirm that you have a valid legal basis and permission to do so and will follow your institution’s policies and applicable education and privacy laws.
3. Accounts and security
You must provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in credentials, and promptly tell us about suspected unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity under your account unless caused by our breach of duty. Many standalone tools can be used without an account; cloud saving, subscriptions, AI allowances, or cross-device features may require one. We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate abuse, comply with law, or address non-payment.
4. Classroom data and privacy
Enter only the minimum classroom information needed. Avoid full names where initials or codes will work, and do not enter health, disability, disciplinary, biometric, or other sensitive data unless your institution has expressly approved the tool and established a lawful basis and safeguards. You remain responsible for notices, consents or other authority required for student data. Our Privacy Policy explains local storage, Firebase cloud saves, retention, providers, international transfers, and GDPR rights.
5. Shared boards, links, and live activities
You control the content you publish or share. Anyone with a public link, access code, or visible classroom screen may be able to see the shared material. Do not publish confidential or unnecessary personal data. You must ensure that voting, random selection, scoring, and group tools are used fairly and with appropriate teacher supervision. We may limit, expire, or remove shared content for security, capacity, legal, or abuse-prevention reasons.
6. AI Teacher Assistant
AI features send your prompt and selected settings to an external AI provider to generate a response. Do not include personal or sensitive student information. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, unsuitable for a particular age group, or similar to third-party material. You must review and adapt every output before classroom use and are responsible for factual accuracy, safeguarding, copyright, accessibility, and educational suitability. Usage limits may vary by plan and may reset monthly.
7. Paid plans and Stripe billing
Paid plans, prices, currency, billing interval, taxes, included limits, and renewal terms are shown on the pricing or Stripe checkout page before purchase. Payments are processed by Stripe; Sabura does not store full card details. Where a subscription renews automatically, you authorise recurring charges until cancellation. You can manage or cancel through the billing portal; cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid period unless the checkout terms or applicable law say otherwise.
Except where stated at purchase or required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights, including any cancellation, conformity, refund, or digital-service rights that apply to EU consumers. Price or plan changes apply prospectively and will be notified where required.
8. Analytics and third-party services
Sabura relies on Cloudflare for hosting, security, private R2 file storage, and image optimisation; Google Firebase for authentication, saved data, and file metadata; Stripe for billing; DeepSeek for requested AI generation; FormSubmit for contact forms; and Google Fonts for font delivery. If you consent, we also use Google Analytics for product and traffic measurement and Microsoft Clarity for usability analytics, heatmaps, and session recordings. Analytics is optional, advertising consent remains disabled, and you can withdraw through “Privacy settings.” Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy notices; see our Privacy Policy for details.
9. Acceptable use
You must not break the law; infringe privacy, intellectual-property, or other rights; upload malware or harmful content; probe or bypass security or usage limits; scrape, overload, reverse engineer, resell, or disrupt the service except where applicable law expressly permits; impersonate others; use the service to harass, discriminate, surveil, or make harmful high-impact decisions about students; or use shared and AI features to create unlawful or unsafe material.
10. Your content and our intellectual property
You retain rights in content you enter. You grant Sabura a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, copy, transmit, display, and process that content only as needed to operate the features you request, secure the service, and meet legal duties. You confirm that you have the rights and authority needed for that content.
Sabura’s software, design, branding, logo, and original content belong to Sabura or its licensors. These Terms give you a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service; they do not transfer ownership. You may not copy, republish, clone, or commercially exploit protected parts of Sabura without written permission, subject to rights granted by applicable law or an identified open-source licence.
11. Availability, changes, and termination
We work to keep Sabura available but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features may change, be limited, or be discontinued for maintenance, security, legal, provider, or product reasons. We will provide reasonable notice where a material change adversely affects a paid service and notice is practicable or legally required. You may stop using Sabura at any time and may request account deletion through support@sabura.app. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue.
12. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, Sabura is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee particular learning outcomes, perfect randomisation, permanent storage, or that AI output is correct. Keep appropriate backups of important material. Teachers and schools remain responsible for classroom, safeguarding, and organisational decisions.
Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable. Subject to that rule, Sabura is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, profit, or opportunity, or decisions based on tool or AI output. For EU consumers, these limitations apply only to the extent permitted by the mandatory law of their country.
13. Law, disputes, and changes to these Terms
Mandatory consumer and data-protection rights in your country remain unaffected. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue. We may update these Terms for legal, security, provider, or service changes. We will change the date above and give additional notice where required; changes will not retroactively remove accrued rights.
14. Contact
Questions, legal notices, cancellation issues, and account requests can be sent to support@sabura.app.
